Since 2007, GFS has partnered with City Springs School, located in East Baltimore. Garrison Forest Middle School students work with City Springs female Middle School students to address silos of race, class and opportunity through MGP.

Upper School GFS students may serve as mentors for the program. GFS’s MGP summer experience also includes a one-of-kind “学习 to Ride and 玩 Polo” program created and taught by GFS 马球 Coach Cindy Halle, which teaches self-confidence and leadership skills as well as riding, polo and horsemanship. Read more.

How does MGP Work?

City Springs and GFS MGP students enjoy Shadow Days at each other’s schools throughout the year, as well as leadership development programs for each school. During the summer, City Springs students attend a five-week camp at GFS, focused on academic enrichment, connecting with GFS and former City Springs student mentors, taking field trips and enjoying arts and/or 马球 and riding classes.
